Creating and Merging PDF's

Need to Know

  • Only save a PDF in the PDF folder, under Lectures Notes from your given class when you are sure this is what you want to post, what you save here will be uploaded automatically into Blackboard. If the file is not ready, save under Lecture Notes but outside the PDF folder. Make sure all backups and PDF have the correct annotations. PDF meant to be uploaded to Blackboard will not upload if the annotation is not correct

Saving as a PDF

  • If you are working from Smart Notebook
    • Option A: Save the document as a Smart Notebook file and also export/save file as a PDF, make sure both are saved to ensure we have a backup.
    • Option B: Save the document as a Smart Notebook file and print the PDF from the Cute PDF Writer in the available printers.
  • Be sure to save under the correct format; CprE545_L03_01_05_12.pdf

  • If you are working from a power point, it is very similar. Save the file before, as a backup and export/save as a PDF. If the save as/export option does not allow PDF, print under the Cute PDF Writer

Merging PDF's

  • Make sure all the files you desire to merge are saved as PDF files.
  • Open one of the PDF files
  • On the top left had side of the screen, locate the Create drop down menu and select Combine files into a single PDF
  • Once this is open, simply select the other desired files and make sure they are in the order you wish to have them merged
  • Save and make sure annotation is in the correct format; CprE545_L03_01_05_12.pdf
